The AJ Madison Showroom Sales Manager is responsible for the management and overall performance of our Florida showroom. This includes, but is not limited to, selecting, scheduling, supervising, directing, coaching, counseling, disciplining, training and performance management of associates; sales volume, key driver and profitability analyses; maximization of credit and other miscellaneous revenues; expense management and overall financial performance; identification and solution of business problems; creation and implementation of competitive strategies; managing productivity standards; and overall store management responsibilities.

• Understands local market focus and tracks competition and trends in the market to address unique local market

• Establish client networks, identify, and build key client relationships, expand, and grow business,
• Develops high-performance teams by coaching, developing, and managing performance of associates,
• React to the day-to-day business issues and needs (problem resolution) for showroom staff,
• Plans, directs and supervises the work and productivity levels of associates to ensure standards are met or exceeded,
• Makes appropriate decisions on associate performance, up to and including termination of employment following various appropriate disciplinary processes, and coaches leads in the store to appropriately address performance concerns in their respective departments,
• Consistently uses communication vehicles such as storewide/showroom meetings, to ensure associates are well-informed of upcoming store events and company initiatives, business and merchandising strategies and goals,
• Sets plans and strategy to lead the store to ensure achievement of business goals in sales and miscellaneous revenue,
• Reports to the General Manager regarding business performance and identification of areas of opportunity.

Skills and Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience within a retail environment,
• Retail store experience and strong understanding of retail-related selling and/or retail operating environment,
• Ability to lead through influence,
• Successful track record in retail operations,
• Strong organizational and management skills,
• Ability to manage employee performance, including, but not limited to, documenting performance issues, creating, and managing performance plans with specific goals for improvement, counseling where necessary, and making decisions with respect to next disciplinary (including termination) or promotion steps,
• Ability to identify and solve complex issues affecting store performance,
• Must be available to work Sundays.
